Lyonnaise Potato


  • 1 peeled potato

  • 30g finely sliced yellow onion

  • 20g butter

  • 1tbsp oil

  • Finely chopped parsley


  1. Cut potato into slices of thickness of 0.3cm. Boil until cooked, drain.

  2. Melt half the butter in a pan with oil over low heat. Add in onions and slowly cook until caramelised - soft, sweet and slightly browned.

  3. Melt remaining butter in a frying pan and saute potato until browned.

  4. Serve potato slices with caramelised onion and garnished with parsley.

  5. *parsley must be chopped, washed and squeezed dry to remove the bitterness in it.
