Strawberry Sorbet


  • 1 cup sugar

  • 1 cup water

  • 3 cups chopped strawberries

  • Juice from 1/2 lemon


  1. Heat sugar and water over medium-high heat until sugar has dissolved and liquid is clear.

  2. Add in strawberries and lemon juice, stir well. Remove from heat and let cool to room temp.

  3. Blend mixture until smooth and strain to remove seeds. Discard seeds and any remaining pulp.

  4. Chill mixture covered for at least 8hrs, then transfer to ice cream maker and freeze accordingly.

  5. Transfer mixture to a freeze-safe container and freeze for at least 2hrs.
