Milk Bread


[Ingredients]

  • 200g bread flour

  • 3g instant yeast

  • 25g sugar

  • 2g salt

  • 135ml milk

  • 25g butter

  • Egg wash

  • Sugar sprinkles

[Steps]

  1. Place flour, salt, sugar and yeast in a large mixing bowl. Add in milk and mix well.

  2. Place dough on worktop and knead in butter, knead until a smooth dough is form.

  3. Shape dough into a ball and place in a large mixing bowl. Cover with cling film and let proof for 40mins.

  4. Gently knead dough to allow air to escape. Divide into 8 portions. Shape each portion into a ball.

  5. Cover with cling film and let proof for 15mins.

  6. Flatten each dough and roll it up. Shape it into the shape of a rugby.

  7. Place dough on a baking tray and let proof for 40mins.

  8. Preheat oven 190degC. Glaze dough with egg and make slits as shown using a pair of scissors.

  9. Sprinkle sprinkles over and bake for 15mins until golden brown.
