Pumpkin Kueh

[Ingredients A]

  • 600ml water

  • 210g sifted rice flour

  • 1/3tsp alkaline water

[Ingredients B]

  • 80g soaked Chinese mushroom

  • 60g soaked dried shrimp

  • 80g Chinese sausage

  • 60g garlic

  • 60g fried shallots

  • 450g shredded pumpkin

[Ingredients C]

  • 3tsp salt

  • 2tsp pepper


  1. Blend A ingredients together until smooth.

  2. Place B ingredients, except pumpkin, into a food processor to chop finely.

  3. Heat 2tbsp of oil in wok. Stir fry chopped ingredients till fragrant.

  4. Add pumpkin and C. Stir fry thoroughly.

  5. Pour batter in and let it cook for a while. Spoon batter into greased small cups and steam over high heat for 15mins.

  6. Remove from heat and allow it to cool.
