Carbonara Sauce


  • 1/4tbsp olive oil

  • 45g smoked bacon cut into strips

  • 1/4 clove crushed garlic

  • 1tbsp double cream

  • 1 egg yolk

  • 20g freshly grated parmesan cheese

  • Salt and pepper


  1. Heat oil in saucepan, add bacon and cook gently for 3mins. Add garlic and cook for 1min.

  2. Beat cream and egg yolk together in a bowl, add to bacon and mix well over low heat.

  3. Season with salt and pepper. Add sauce and parmesan to pasta. Toss well.
