Homemade Peanut Butter


  • 16oz Roasted Peanuts

  • Salt, optional and to taste

  • Chopped Peanuts (for crunchy peanut butter)


  1. Add peanuts to the canister of a food processor. Process on high power until cream & smooth, about 5mins. Stopping to scrape down the sides if necessary.

  2. The peanuts will go through various stages: crushed, a fine powder, a thicker paste & a big "dough ball." The dough will break down & turn into a runnier peanut butter. Don't stop processing when you have that "dough ball," it will indeed breakdown. At the point the peanut butter is runny keep processing for about 1min, making sure it is as smooth as desired.

  3. Taste the peanut butter and add salt (if desired to taste) & chopped peanuts. Process again quickly to incorporate the salt & peanuts. Serve immediately or chilled.

  4. Peanut butter will keep in the fridge in an airtight container for many weeks.
