Dumplings in Chilli Oil 紅油抄手


  • 1pkt dumpling wrapper - white, square

  • 250g minced pork

  • 100g prawn, peeled and chopped

  • 100g water chestnut, peeled and chopped

  • 2tbsp light soy sauce

  • 1/2tsp salt

  • 1/2tsp sugar

  • 1tsp white pepper powder

  • 1tbsp Hua Diao Jiu

  • 1tbsp sesame oil

  • 1/2 cup chopped scallions

  • 10g grated ginger


  • 5tbsp chilli oil

  • 2tbsp sesame oil

  • 2tbsp light soy sauce

  • 3tbsp black vinegar


  1. In a large bowl, add in all filling ingredients and mix well.

  2. Take a piece of wrapper, wet the edges with water (the water acts as an adhesive).

  3. Place 1tsp of filling in the center. Fold half diagonally across, forming a triangle. Then bring the 2 corners at the side together. Repeat till done.

  4. Boil dumplings for 10mins till they start to float.

  5. Drain and place them in a dish.

  6. Mix sauce ingredients together and pour over the dumplings.
