Fried Stuffed Beancurd


  • 4 firm beancurd (tau kwa), sliced half diagonally, dig out a space on the cut side

  • 4 prawns, peeled, deveined and chopped

  • 120g minced meat

  • 1tsp grated garlic

  • 1tsp grated ginger

  • 1tsp light soy sauce

  • 1tsp white pepper

  • 1tbsp shallot / sesame oil

  • 1/2tsp chicken powder

[Mushroom Sauce]

  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped

  • 2 Chinese mushroom, soaked and chopped

  • Some chopped scallion - garnish


  1. Mix filling ingredients together and divide into 8 portions. Stuff into prepared beancurd.

  2. Pan fry beancurd till browned on all sides. Plate.

  3. Stir fry garlic and mushrooms till fragrant. Pour over stuffed beancurd and sprinkle scallions over.
