Meatball Bacon Pasta


  • 200g minced meat

  • 200g minced chicken

  • 1 medium yellow onion - peeled and chopped

  • 6 garlic cloves - peeled and chopped

  • 1 can whole tomatoes

  • 1 can tomato puree

  • 1 punnet brown mushrooms - sliced

  • 3pcs bacon - sliced, pan-fried till crispy, drain and reserve the oil


  • 1 tsp sea salt

  • 1 tsp black pepper

  • 200ml bone stock

  • 0.5 tsp chicken powder


  • 1.5 tsp sugar

  • 1 tsp sea salt

  • 1 tsp pepper


  1. Mix pork, chicken and marinade ingredients together. Shape them into meatballs and pan-fry using the reserved bacon oil. Drain and set aside.

  2. Stir-fry garlic, onion and chilli till slightly soft. Add in both the canned tomatoes and let simmer for 10mins.

  3. Meanwhile, stir-fry mushrooms till browned.

  4. Blend tomato mixture till smooth. Add in seasoning ingredients, meatballs and mushroom, and mix well.

  5. Ladle it over cooked pasta and sprinkle bacon over.
