My 2nd Airbnb Accommodation in Seoul

This is my 2nd time in Seoul and this time round I travelled with my friend. The previous time I rented a private room in Dongdaemun region, staying with three other Korean housemates, and a pair of Singaporean couple that took the other rented bedroom. So basically there are 4 bedrooms and two are Airbnb listing. The downside of it is that there is no lift in the building and I have to carry my 20kg luggage up and down 4 floors.

This time round I am really careful and make sure that the listing has lift in the building, and there is air-con since it is going to be summer at the point of visit. I booked an entire studio apartment for $720, but since there is two of us so it is relatively affordable and worth it. It is also located in Dongdaemun region, one of the most convenient regions in Seoul.

This is what that is included in the listing: - 2 single beds

- Large windows with ample sunlight

- Air-con

- Portable WIFI egg

- Cabled TV

- Dresser with Mirror (really great because I always have to bring a mirror on my trips)

- Dining table for 2

- Stove

- Kettle

- Toaster

- Microwave Oven

- Washer

- Fridge

- Wardrobe, Hangers

- Bathroom with Hot Shower, Toiletries, Towels

- Utensils

- Required Cleaning Agents

- Iron, Iron-board

- Hairdryer

Review of listing

Overall it was a nice stay, convenient, near to the bus station and subway station. Ground floor is 24hrs convenience store, many shops around us and malls are just walking distances away. However, I feel the room was a little rundown as compared to the photos provided. Room is a little cramp for the two of us, so I do not recommend if you have more than two persons.

The owner was really friendly and prompt to response. Our air-conditioner unfortunately started leaking during our stay, and the owner quickly got the technician to drop by to fix it the next day while we were out busy shopping.

Glad that there was washer, iron and iron-board available. The weather during summer was crazy and we perspired non-stop! This makes us change really often and luckily there was a washer available in our room, otherwise we would had run out of clothes to wear! We put our clothes to wash before leaving, and they are all dry and ready to be worn by the time we return in the evening. Iron out the creases and they are ready to be re-worn!
