Melbourne Day 4

I love fruit picking and strawberries are one of my favourite fruits, so I can’t miss this out when they are in season now! There are lots of fruit farms that are near to Melbourne, and I chose Naturipe as they have peaches and nectarines in season as well! Unfortunately, they were not available during my visit.

Before I head down to the farm, I walked to Lobbs from my Airbnb for my morning coffee, then headed down to the train station. The farm is located about 2hrs away from Melbourne. Took the train to Bacchus Marsh station, and then an Uber to the farm. There is no entry fee and no minimum spend required, which is amazing. The berries were priced at $13/kg. You can enter the farm to pick on your own, or just grab one of the pre-packed boxes. There was also a heaped of berries that you can sample. There were so sweet and juicy!

After I was done, I called an Uber to go back to the train station, and then took the train back to Melbourne city.

Back in the city, I had lunch at Humble Rays, and tried their Crabmeat Scramble. It was AMAZING! The dish consists of croissant with eggs cooked scrambled with crabmeat, garlic, and chilli oil. It was perfect! It comes with some rice crisps as well, which I didn’t really like.

HUMBLE RAYS

71 Bouverie Street, Carlton VIC 3053

0800-1600hrs (daily)

Round the corner was another café, INI Studio, a Korean-style industrial concept coffee café filled with chill vibes. One of the crew here was so handsome 😍

INI STUDIO

0700-1600hrs (Mon-Fri), 0900-1600hrs (Sat-Sun)

Melbourne’s CBD area is a free tram zone, meaning you don’t have to pay to ride the trams within this area. Tram rides in Melbourne are crazy, it’s at $4.60 per ride! Since Library at the Dock is located within the free tram zone, I decided to go have a look as the library offers a great view of the dock!

LIBRARY AT THE DOCK

107 Victoria Harbour Promenade, Docklands VIC 3008

0700-2200hrs (daily, except PH)

After which, I was getting exhausted already, having to wake up so early to go to the farm, so I decided to head back to my Airbnb to take a nap. It was about 4:30pm now; and I got UberEats – pizza from Flakes on Sydney Rd for dinner.
